Meet Guillermo Velasco
Principal Advisor for Elections Operations and Modernization
He brings more than seven years of experience in county and state election administration, helping election offices and organizations strengthen operations, training, and best practices. His background spans hands-on county work and senior state leadership, with a proven track record of managing complex elections and delivering consistent, statewide improvements.
- 7+ years in county and state election administration
- Former Idaho State Elections Director
- Led statewide training for all 44 counties
- Managed 20+ elections, including two presidential elections
- Certified Elections/Registration Administrator (CERA)

In this role, he oversees and delivers services including election system modernization, process improvement, training development, vendor coordination, and implementation support for county and state election offices. He and his team of project managers and experienced elections professionals helps jurisdictions improve operational readiness, modernize critical election systems, and execute complex initiatives with confidence, transparency, and accountability.
